Bison Penne🦬🍅🍝

This recipe is super quick, uses basic ingredients, very flavorful, and is a great meal prep to hit your protein goals! I made 10 meal preps for my husband and I but adjust the amounts for your needs!

Ingredients:

  • 32oz penne pasta

  • 2 lbs. ground bison

  • Italian seasoning

  • dried basil

  • dried oregano

  • onion powder

  • garlic powder

  • salt and pepper

  • 1 green pepper

  • 1 white onion

  • 2 cans of mushrooms

  • 2 quarts of homemade tomato sauce (could use store bought)

  • 4 Tbsp Minced Garlic

  • 2.5 c parmesan cheese blend

Directions:

  1. Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil.

  2. In a large pan combine ground bison, chopped onion, chopped green peppers, minced garlic, canned mushrooms, and season to your liking. Let it cook through, then turn down to low.

  3. Once the pot is boiling, add the penne.

  4. When the penne is done, drain and add 1 quart of tomato sauce to the pot and stir.

  5. Divide the pasta into your meal prep containers, add the bison and veggies, and top with additional tomato sauce from the other quart jar and add some parmesan cheese! Enjoy!
