Essential Oil Mouthwash

This is an easy recipe that is a great way to save money, avoid artificial sweeteners and colorings, and you most likely have these ingredients on hand anyway!

Ingredients:

  • 1 c purified water

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 15 drops tea tree essential oil

  • 15 drops peppermint essential oil

Combine all ingredients in a glass measuring cup with a spout and mix together! Pour into a glass jar with an airtight lid and enjoy fresh breath! This mouthwash is salty at first but leaves a clean, minty feeling afterward. I chose tea tree oil for its antibacterial properties and peppermint oil for a refreshing and invigorating taste! In the future, I may consider adding clove oil to this as well for its antibacterial properties, anti-cavity, and relief from any tooth pain!
